I feel like a balloon. Not a balloon in a pack tied to the welcome sign in front of the brand new supermarket on it’s opening day . Or a balloon being held by a 6 year old girl in a floral dress leaving a birthday party where her face was painted like a unicorn. I feel like an old balloon, that the helium is slowly being drained out of but still has enough left in it to float away. I feel like a balloon being held by a 4 year old who is balancing an icecream cone in one hand and me in the other palm. But a 4 year old still hasn’t perfected their fine motor abilities and to grasp both items without fail is difficult. So I am let go . And quickly I am propelled into the air and into the sky and if the wind doesn’t pick up maybe I just float for a while, until I pop or get stuck in an telephone pole or disappear into the world. That’s how I feel today.

I miss Papalote, hills, recycling, Twin peaks, Bay bridge, buses, fog, mountains, panhandle park, Dolores park, Alamo square park, tuna melts from bean bag café, Waziema, Fillmore, walkable living, ichibancan , sangria, Berkeley 2008-2009, jake and ben, andronico brownies, rose garden, north Berkeley,Pharmaca, hungover brunch at squat and gobble,Tilden park, u pick fruit, ocean beach, china beach, alboorz, Victorians, Haight Street market, Rainbow, Bill from Cole hardware , all crackheads, poop on sidewalks, Pharmaca , the ferry building, sway, noe valley, night walks, FRESH produce, the kids from CYO, bus stop missed connections, patchouli, farmers markets, hybrids, 22, 38, 5,21, three twins ice cream, Paxton gates, bad tapas, tutti melon,my accupuncturist, the Ross in Potrero Hill,my 40 jobs, qbar,castro theatre sing-alongs, thai palace, little chihuahua, lime, hula hoopers, chocolate mushroom dealers, ground scores, zip car to taco bell,zip car to anywhere, cement slides, the two targets across from each other in Serramonte, NOPA, scarlet sage herb co, goodwill on haight street, funky door yoga, golden gate park , the de young, passive aggressive people, The W, SPUR, the Safeway on church and castro, red woods,99 tuesday lines at Popeyes, PHO garden, saulsalito, JLC, and never being able to find a cab ever.

and how everything was always so random.

and how i probably didnt mention a million things.
